SHOW BLITZ: WESTLIFE STAND BY SHAYNE By Tina Calder I HEARD recently that Shayne Ward's new single Stand By Me was originally penned for Irish boyband Westlife. An insider at the record company also told me: "Bosses here thought that they could make more money out of the song if Shayne sang it. "That's Why Westlife have been relatively quiet recently - because they don't want to saturate the market with the same type of stuff. "Before long we will start to see a bit of a tag-team thing going on where Westlife and Shayne will take turns in the charts and touring."
