I’ve only got eyes for Faye, says X-Factor star 25/06/2006 - 14:38:07 X-Factor winner Shayne Ward has told girls “throwing themselves” at him he has no plans to ditch his long-term girlfriend Faye McKeever. But the 21-year-old pop star told the News of the World’s Sunday magazine he has been so busy he has hardly had time to see her. “We were always together 24/7. Now it’s reached the point where I’m so busy that I can be working for two or three months straight and only get the odd day off. “But we’ve been together for three years and I’m not going to jeopardise what I have with Faye,” he said. “I’m not complaining that girls are throwing themselves at me – it’s flattering. But at the end of the day, Faye knows she’s with me.” But Shayne laughed that he would “probably never get married”, saying he was “scared” of the idea. The singer, who turned 21 last October, has not even had time to celebrate his birthday yet – but he is not complaining about the pressures of fame. “I knew what I was signing up for. This is everything I’ve ever wanted and I am going to enjoy every second of it,” he said. Shayne, who worked in a Manchester shoe shop before winning the X Factor, said he had “worked hard” for what he has achieved. As for the future, he hopes one day for success in America and would even “like a crack at Hollywood” as an actor, he said.
