My day with Shayne at This Morning yesterday
Ok I've posted this already on the official site but thought I'd post it up here for you guys too Ok right- where on earth do I start- got up ridiculously early yesterday morning at like 5.45 am!! Got ready and headed to the train station for the 2-hour trip down to London. Got there about 9 and headed to Waterloo where I met Charlie of the official forums and her 2 girls. Charlie told me Shayne had already gone in so we made our way to the studios where a few other people were already waiting- well ok more like 10 lol They all told us that he’d gone in but had said he would come back out in a few minutes but this had been at like 8 am lol- an hour and 3/4s earlier! So we just stood waiting and chatting with everyone and then Ant and Dec arrived but they just kinda went straight in without acknowledging any of us really. More people turned up- including Jill, again off the official forums, and it was nice to meet her properly after chatting to her on the forums for so long! Whilst we were waiting some researchers came down and asked us if we had any questions for Shayne so I was trying to think of one and I said “What’s the best banner you’ve ever seen?” in the hope that he might remember the banner I gave him at the album launch. Anyway they came back down about 10-15 mins later and said they’d chosen some questions they wanted to film us asking Shayne but then the sound people couldn’t get down so they decided to film us all cheering outside instead waving our singles. The cameraman got me to hold mine out for him which was rather embarrassing lol and then we all had to wave and cheer which was quite funny! Eventually we decided that Shayne wouldn’t be coming out until the show finished at half 12 so we all waited some more lol! Then I got a text off Steph telling me bout the article about him in The Sun so I was like “OMG!” and Ben was like “Yeah I have a copy of it!” so I think it was Tina started reading it out to us all and suddenly she stopped reading and went “And there’s Shayne!” and sure enough there he was at the car so I quickly turned my camera on n started snapping. My God he was looking as gorgeous as ever in jeans, a white vest top and brown t-shirt- he just looked yum! And then they came over to us but it was all a bit squashed. Luckily I was at the front. Paul had said that they hadn’t got much time cos Shayne had to go back in and do the performance so we couldn’t have pictures and were only allowed one thing signed. Eventually it was my turn so I gave Shayne my pic I’d printed off from Attitude (I was to embarrassed to get him to sign the actual mag) and managed to say, “Shayne could you sign that “To Joy” for me please” which he did. I’d also got him a card to say congratulations on all his recent success so as he handed me back my picture I said to him “And this is for you!” and gave him the card and then he looked at me with the most gorgeous smile and said “Thank you very much” I could have died- I was over the moon! Then I moved out the way so other people could get their stuff signed but I was moving round like a bit of a headless chicken trying to get pics of him. Then Charlie asked Shayne if he’d have a quick pic with Ellie but Shayne wanted her in the pic too so I was trying to get to her to see if she wanted me to take it but Paul beat me too it! Anyway then Shayne had to go back in so we all said bye and quite a few people then headed off to the airport but cos Charlie, Jill and I weren’t going to the airport we waited for Shayne to leave. We went and stood over the other side of the entrance so that we’d be on the right side for Shayne. Eventually Shayne came back down about 12.45 and pretty much got straight in the car cos they were off to the airport but as they reversed the car out Shayne put his window down and handed out some signed photos to us all *drools at the gorgeousness of them* Then they had to go so we all waved and said goodbye and I shouted that I loved him and they drove off. We then all headed back to the tube stations and made our own ways home- was a fab morning even though I have caught the sun on my face and look like goodness knows what lol! Thanks to Charlie and Jill for such a great time- was lovely to meet you guys and Shayne of course for being his usual wonderful self. Now for the pictures…..
