CROWDS of girls huddled outside Cardiff International Arena at 6pm waiting in line for X Factor winner Shayne Ward on his first tour.
Even thoug they had to wait three hours before the man himself arrived on stage.
In between doors open and showtime, the sell-out crowd were ‘entertained’ by support acts and a series of commercials on giant screens either side of the stage.
Every so often the commercials were interrupted by a picture of Shayne, just to keep the crowd on their toes and giving them the chance to scream hystericallypractise their hysterical screaming.
When the man himself finally came on stage, it all turned out to be worth the wait! The show was very entertaining and extremely energetic.
The Manchester lad covered songs by Prince, George Michael and his manager Louis Walsh’s other band Westlife. There were four costume changes, starting with a casual opening outfit to his final 007 suit.
Although there was the occasional bum note, the audience seemed to forgive him as his looks definitely made up for his lack of vocal power.
Shayne showed he really knows how to work a crowd, shamelessly flirting with the camera in what was a very entertaining show.
With the closing performance of James Bond’s Live and Let Die, complete with Shayne in his tux, the fireworks let rip bringing the audience to their feet and bringing the show to an explosive and spectacular end.
Shayne plays another sell-out show at CIA again tonight.
